Technical Trainer - Equipment & Operations
Great news – we might have the ideal job for you! Reporting to the Operations Director, and based in Oakbank, we are looking for a Trainer for our Manitoba worksites. We are searching for someone with strong leadership skills who knows how to use and can train others to use worksite equipment. If you are looking for a rewarding and interesting role, you might enjoy training and onboarding our new production employees.
JOB SUMMARY:
• Ensure that employees are properly trained on the equipment they use at work:
◦ Includes forklift certifications, operating best practices, basic machine maintenance, and safe work practices and procedures;
◦ Includes follow up with new employees to verify sufficient training efforts;
• Attends various job sites on a variety of shifts to meet in-person with employees;
• Support and plan individual and group training for employees;
• Develop internal mentoring opportunities; and
• Review and make recommendations on current training policies.
QUALIFICATIONS :
• You have trained others how to use heavy equipment;
• A suitable combination of experience and education/certifications will be considered;
• You have the demonstrated ability to understand technical manuals and can operate equipment within manufacturer specifications and recommendations;
• You are dedicated to upholding strict standards for health and safety;
• You have strong communication skills, are familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of programs; and have a valid Manitoba driver’s license; and
• French language skills are considered an asset.
