The Challenges Awaiting You

The CIVO is a security management center whose main function is to analyze relevant information elements in real time for the effectiveness of police interventions.

 

Under the supervision of your immediate superior, you will perform various technical tasks that allow for the analysis, use, and dissemination of relevant and adapted information based on the requests and situations being addressed.

 

You will work at the Intelligent Operational Vigilance Center (CIVO) and are tasked with collecting information and disseminating it to frontline responders while respecting the tools and methods for intelligence gathering. You will have access to multiple databases and information sources and provide support in public safety, civil security, and social emergencies. You will ensure the dissemination of the collected information to complete/facilitate the work of first responders or any other justified resource needing timely services from the CIVO. As a member of the intelligence and strategic analysis division team, you will receive, collect, and disseminate contemporary information from your team.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Receive information requests from first responders or any other justified resource needing timely services from the CIVO to support them in their daily work.
  • Monitor calls made by the 9-1-1 emergency call center and initiate requests in various systems and tools related to these calls for which field responders could benefit from additional information.
  • Listen to police radio waves to detect ongoing calls requiring assistance in intelligence and information.
  • Consult databases or specialized directories and extract information based on the situation.
  • Quickly analyze information to highlight relevant elements.
The Ideal Profile for Us
  • Hold a college diploma (AEC) in Analysis of Criminal Activities and Behaviors in Technological Surveillance or a bachelor's degree in public safety;
  • Have twelve (12) months of relevant experience in a similar role;
  • Be available full-time to work on rotating shifts during the day, evening, night, and weekends.
